My portfolio was finally approved by Model Mayhem (#1113965) . I am a member of One Model Place (OMP) as well, but so far I like the feel of MM better. I would like to use this as my primary photo for MM, but is it considered adult? I don't really see any body parts to make it that way. I guess I can do it until somebody complains.
What do you think of Model Mayhem? Any other sites to recommend?
I think Model Mayhem is pretty good. I find most of the people I work with through the site. Before MM I used MySpace to find models. Most people didn't respond, but the ones that did actually showed up and did pretty well. On MM I'll get more responses but a lot of those flake out when it actually comes to shooting. For example, last month I put up a casting call on MM looking to shoot some practice bridal portraits. Five people said they were interested, but only one of them actually turned into a shoot.
ReplyDeleteI've also had good luck using Craigslist. That is how I learned of Leila and Katie.
ReplyDeleteYou can use that image for an avatar because it doesn't show nipples or genitals. If anyone thinks it's a simulated sex act, they might report it. People can report anything on these sites. I had an avatar pulled once because I was wearing a blouse, but you could see my nipples through the fabric. That seemed wrong to me, because after all I was fully clothed.
ReplyDeleteMM is great but after having my account canned twice without reason I search for a new site and stumbled upon Art Warriors. This site offers support to its members on photography, photoshop, and more.
ReplyDeleteThis is a cool site for professionals to learn from each other.
